I visited the School for Life while on holiday in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in Aug 08. The school provides needy children from the Hill Tribes with education and a happy place to live. For more information, visit their website.

They live in family groups with staff taking on the roles of mother and father for each family. The kids get to choose which family to live in.

The school is situated inside a royal forest in the Doi Saket Mountains.

There are hotel-standard rooms for holiday-makers to stay in at the School for Life. They are air-conditioned with attached bathrooms. Proceeds help to fund the school.
